Public Hearing on Saddle Ridge- Conservation Commission Postponed Until the End of April

Conservation Commission Public Hearing to discuss the Saddle Ridge 26-lot subdivision located at Sport Hill, Silver Hill, Cedar Hill and Westport Roads has been postponed until the end of April at the volition of the developer.

This is the first application to be filed under the new Conservation Cluster Housing Regulation (Section 5900 of Easton’s Zoning Regulations). The regulation allows lots smaller than the 3 acres previously required in Zone B.

The Saddle Ridge application proposes for all 26 lots to be smaller than 3 acres, most of which are less than 2 acres, with one lot as small as .96 acres.

This is a very sensitive piece of property which occupies the upper portion of two headwater drainage systems of public water supply reservoirs- the Aspetuck and the Easton Reservoirs
