The Conservation Commission Public Hearing on Saddle Ridge will be Postponed to October 19th at the request of the Developer. Accordingly, because the meeting was already noticed, they will open the hearing at 7pm and immediately continue it to the 19th.
This is the first application to be filed under the new Conservation Cluster Housing Regulation (Section 5900 of Easton’s Zoning Regulations). The regulation allows lots smaller than the 3 acres previously required in Zone B.
The Saddle Ridge application latest revision proposes all 24 lots to be smaller than 3 acres, all but two to be less than 2 acres, with one lot as small as .96 acres!
This is a very sensitive piece of property which occupies the upper portion of two headwater drainage systems of public water supply reservoirs- the Aspetuck and the Easton Reservoirs
